A Case Report on the Incremental Dental Health Care for Periodontal Disease Patient Through Professional Mechanical Tooth Cleansing and Tooth Pik Method of Tooth-Brushing

Abstract


Periodontal disease is a prevalent disease for aged people and the most of the treatment has been done by operation or extraction of tooth, even though the patient didn't want to do it. But in some cases, it can be controlled by preventive cares and maintaining by incremental dental health care system with continuous and periodic management for periodontal disease. A patient age 75 woman who had a severe periodontal problems with severe mobility and pain, swellow and redness on lower left Molar tooth which were already treated on Endodontic treatment, was controlled by PMTC after Oral Prophylaxis at dental clinic and trained to do the tooth-brushing with Tooth-Pik method, .at home care. It showed the sign of the gingival subside with disappears of inflammatory symptoms and regeneration of alveolar bone from 2 months later and remarkable alveolar bone regeneration by X-ray findings and decreased the mobility. It was concluded that some of the cases for severe periodontal disease patient can be controlled by preventive measures and continuous oral check with successfully.
